A Trip to the Pet Store

Hello again! Last night I took a trip to the pet store to meet a very nice couple that is interested in adopting a dog. As this will be the first dog they adopt, they're trying to do the responsible thing - look at several dogs and educate themselves as best they can so that they can find the dog that best fits their family. I think that's a great idea. I'm sure they'll find the perfect dog, whether it is me or some other lucky pooch.

I was a super star at the pet store. Several people told me I was adorable. I met a few people who wanted to pet me, and lots more that I wanted to go greet. A very nice employee came over and gave me a treat!

Even though the pet store was a new situation for me, I handled it with my usual cool demeanor. I did whine a little bit when I saw people I wanted to go say "hi" to, but for the most part I was my normal, calm self. While Molly talked with the couple about adopting me, I laid down in the middle of everyone and put my head down for a rest. I wasn't actually sleeping, but human conversations can go on forever!

I really do like meeting people. I loved last weekend's meet and greet, and I'm planning on going to the next one two weekends from now. Maybe I'll find my forever home at a meet and greet, maybe not. Either way, they are great fun!
